Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the United States and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She's an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation occasionally. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful talent that enabled her to get her first job working as an assistant to the producer at Univision in Miami that provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. After this, her CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. After 2009, the reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. Reporting on stories about the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of Mexico-Texas border, she worked as an anchor for newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for news at 9 p.m. news in English as well as a reporter again for at 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she would fill in at times as a news and sport anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasthe affiliate of Univision Dallas, and she is more responsible. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor herself. She was the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. She worked in the same position for Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. There is an older sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and moved to Miami. Her parents divorced soon after and, in 1995, she was married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. On a family vacation in Ohio, the young Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school and had a very clear vision of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. It turned out that she was a fan of the university and they were offering the kind of program she was searching for. She graduated from high school and enrolled into media school at the University. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU in which she is a member. They had a very close friendship. He encouraged her to believe in herself and also his love in journalism was a huge influence on her, and she in turn, strived to fulfill the expectations of him and not failed him.
